LOGIX History
1983
Ron Henriksen founds American Telco, Inc.
LOGIX gets its start as American Telco, a company
providing long-distance telephone service to businesses
following the breakup of telecommunications monopoly AT&T and begins a solid service reputation. |
1996
American Telco becomes first carrier
approved by the PUC to compete with Southwestern Bell
After the establishment of the Telecom
Act of 1996, American Telco becomes the first independent
carrier to sign an interconnection agreement with Southwestern
Bell, allowing American Telco to be the first facility-based telecommunications company to provide
competitive local telephone service in Texas.
1998
American Telco is purchased by LOGIX
Oklahoma-based LOGIX buys American Telco for its solid
customer service reputation and brings it under the LOGIX
name. |
2000
Henriksen founds American Lightwave Communications
In a visionary move, Henriksen founds American Lightwave to
focus on the emergence of building-based voice and data solutions.
2002
Henriksen buys American Telco back and keeps the LOGIX name:
Seeking to innovate by integrating telecommunications solutions to improve the way businesses use voice and data services, Henriksen creates Western Communications, Inc. which purchases select customers and assets of both the original American Telco and "SMART Building" company American Lightwave Communications, Inc. and then establishes operations under the name of LOGIX. |
